When Rick Ross went on a signing spree about two years ago, Meek Mill’s addition went relatively unnoticed compared to his homie Wale. Since then, it can be argued that Meek Mill is the real crown jewel of the crew. With numerous hit singles including “Tupac Back,” “Ima Boss” and “House Party,” Meek has gotten into the business of making anthems. When a Meek song hits, the point is to yell it back to the speakers louder than he is yelling, and that is a good thing. Meek’s energy and ability to create call and response records are reminiscent of a young DMX, but he’s got a long way to go before he is in that space. He’s on the right path.
