Pusha T has the people going. The younger half of VA rap group the Clipse, and a soloist on Kanye’s G.O.O.D. Music, Push A Ton’s latest single “Exodus 23:1” is thought to be a not so veiled diss towards Drake. The track even inspired a “Fuk Pusha T” reaction from Lil Wayne. MTV News caught up with Push to talk about his recording work with R&B crooner The-Dream and coincidentally how the RicoBeats produced “Exodus 23:1” kicked off their working relationship.

“It really started as far as I went with this beat from Rico. We were like, ‘Yo, Dream would just sound amazing on the record, period.'” recalled Pusha. “So we sent it out and it came back so quick… Personally, I never thought the record was going to come back this quick.”

Peep the rest of the video below to see how The-Dream is helping Pusha with the songwriting on his forthcoming debut solo album.
