Immortal Technique appeared on the Al Jazeera English show The Stream, where he expressed his gripes with the music industry, spoke on the Occupy Wall Street movement, and shared his stance on gay marriage.

In the 42-minute interview, the “Toast To The Dead” MC opened with an explanation about why he feels that the music industry is corrupt. “The music industry was basically created by gangsters and therefore it’s set-up like a gangster operation,” he said. “To me, I learned the business from lots of people who were involved in the actual running of the record industry when it was probably at its highest and most corrupt.  What they did was empower me with the knowledge of how this corruption occurred, in order ot help me protect myself from that.”
