Vice President Joe Biden addressed the crowd at the National Association of Black Journalists annual convention, where he urged attendees to re-elect President Obama. “This is about more than the economy — it’s about who the hell we are. There’s only one group of people who hasn’t had to give up anything,” he said in reference to the rich.

During his speech , Biden also touched on the work that Obama has done that directly benefited black Americans, and encouraged the crowd to visualize how things will change if Mitt Romney is elected into office.“Imagine what the Supreme Court will look like after three years of a Romney presidency,” he said. “Imagine what it will mean for traditional civil rights, women’s rights and so much more.”

The Republican party has been tireless with their criticize of Obama over the state of the economy, and as he continues his re-election campaign, he must convince voters to give him another four years to fix things. Last week the president traveled to Ohio where he spoke on his economic plan, today he will call on Congress to stop raising interest rates on student loans.
