After just dropping the very necessary “B-tch Bad”—a lyrical commentary on the impact the lax use of the B-word can have on the youth—Lupe Fiasco now comes through with the video for “Around My Way (Freedom Ain’t Free).” The controversial song, at least to Pete Rock, is the lead single from the Chicago rapper’s forthcoming Food & Liquor 2: The Great American Rap Album, Pt. 1.

The Chicago streets, a proudly rented Lamborghini, glowing eyes, cartoons rolling blunts; all part of this vid’s treatment. Tuck away any animosity towards Lupe, or the use of the sample Pete Rock & CL Smooth made famous, and you’ll see/hear that he’s spittin’ some thought provoking ish.

Food & Liquor 2: The Great American Rap Album, Pt. 1 is scheduled to drop on September 25th. Watch the Alex Nazari directed visual for “Around My Way (Freedom Ain’t Free)” below.
