When it comes to racism, Ted Nugent doesn’t take a day off. The well-known conservative musician is once again using his platform for evil. While Nugent’s rants are usually captured on video, in the latest episode of sheer and utter craziness, the Washington Post has given him the opportunity to express his ridiculous views on the Civil War and “Obamacare.”

Nugent is upset with the Supreme Court for ruling to uphold President Obama’s health care reform law, and in a lengthy editorial on the Post’s website, lashed out at Chief Justice John Roberts. “Had Chief Justice Roberts voted along with Justice Clarence Thomas and Justice Antonin Scalia like everyone expected, Obamacare would have been struck down by the Supreme Court. That would have put even more wind in the sails of the Romney campaign.”

He went on to brand Roberts as a “traitor,” but it wasn’t until he made comment about the Civil War that things got even more awkward. “Because our legislative, judicial and executive branches of government hold the 10th Amendment in contempt, I’m beginning to wonder if it would have been best had the South won the Civil War,” he wrote. “Our Founding Fathers’ concept of limited government is dead.”

Of course had the South won the Civil War, Black people would likely still be enslaved, which –judging by his hateful rhetoric—is the perfect scenario for Nugent.

Also, as a trusted news source, the Washington Post should have stricter guidelines on who they allow to write on their website.
