Wyclef Jean and Lauryn Hill are still not friends. While their relationship may never be restored to what it used to be in their Fugees days, it looked like the former group members could put the past behind them and move forward.
When asked about her on-going tax issues, Jean admitted to VladTV that he and the mother of six (still) aren’t talking. “I ain’t speak to Lauryn—it’s been a minute,” he revealed. “I heard about a little drama she got in the news, wishing her [the best] on that. I was on the phone with Pras earlier. It’s all good. Nothin’ but love for the Fugees.”
Of course his new disposition is a stark contrast from a 2007 interview when he suggested she seek mental help. “Lauryn Hill, should go see a psychiatrist – period – Just seek help,” he said.“At this point I really think it will take an act of God to change her, because she is that far out there.””
Hill never took his advice, and after years outside of the spotlight, she has since reacquainted herself with fans; yet she probably won’t go as far as to get back together with the Fugees.
