The veil shielding the identities of six witnesses who offered their accounts following the shooting death of Trayvon Martin was lifted by Judge Kenneth Lester,Wednesday (July 25). The state attorney’s office released unedited copies of witness statements today, complete with names of those who voluntary spoke about the incident.

In the 30-page documents the names of the witnesses were originally replaced with numbers.

Among those identified include Brandy Green, the girlfriend of Martin’s father, Cheryl Brown, a neighbor who wasn’t home during the shooting, but noted that her son witnessed bits and pieces of the fatal encounter. Her son, Austin McClendon’s name was also released. He was previously known as “Witness 9.”

The names of an officer of the homeowners association, and other residents in the neighborhood where the unarmed teen was killed, were also made public.

Noticeably absent was the name of “Witness 7,” the female relative of Zimmerman who accused him of molesting her for over a decade.

During his first television interview, which aired on the Fox News Channel last week, the 28-year-old denied the woman’s claims. One day after his sit-down with broadcaster Sean Hannity, prosecutors announced that they would use the interview as evidence in the case against him.

Since posting $1 million bond, Zimmerman has been released from custody. Meanwhile, his wife, Shellie, is set to be arraigned next week on perjury charges, for allegedly lying to the court about the couple’s finances.

Martin’s parents revealed that they will be able to handle the outcome of the trial, regardless of which side is victorious.
