Homeboy Sandman may be unfamiliar to you if you get all your music from the local mainstream Hip-Hop station, but the Queens MC has been putting in work for a long minute. The UPenn grad is dropping a new album called First Of A Living Breed and here is its latest single, “Watchu Want From Me?” Equally under-appreciated producer Oddisee hooks up a drum loaded, key filled track for the Boy Sand to dip in and out of.
This verbalist has dropped a number of albums and mixtapes but we suggest you go back and check out 2010’s The Good Sun project for a nice sampling of his talents. First Of A Living Breed is out September 18th, and will be Sandman’s first on Stones Throw Records. Listen to and download “Watchu Want From Me?” after the break.
