Let’s get this out of the way right now, this is the most Hip-Hop influenced Olympics in it’s history. With Olympic swimmers Ryan Lochte and Michael Phelps wearing grills and paying homage to Lil Wayne and Young Jeezy respectively; along with Gymnast Gabby Douglas hitting her dougie, who would’ve thought Hip-Hop would take it this far?
Well now you can add Serena Williams to having one of the more Hip-Hop moments at the 30th Olympiad. After dominating fellow tennis star, Maria Sharapova, at the Women’s singles finals in London, the Compton resident hit a picture perfect crip walk. One of the most decorated tennis stars and most recognizable athletes in the world just had to remind the world that she’s just a chick from the hood that made it. Hit the jump and check it out.
