Christopher “Cam” Martin, a record executive and manager has died, he was 34. His body was found at around 8 a.m. Saturday (Aug. 4) morning, outside of an abandoned home on the 200 block of Done Lane, in the New Hope Community area of Berkeley County, South Carolina.
The Berkeley County Coroner’s Office said that Martin’s death is being investigated as a homicide. More information is expected to be released, pending the completion of an autopsy.
Noted as a “visionary leader,” Martin ran Camouflage Management whose client list includes Hurricane Chris, DJ Mr. Rogers, The Party Boyz, and Yung Berg. He previously worked as director of A&R at Polo Grounds/J Records, and was an artist manager at Jive Records before becoming CEO of Camouflage.
Martin is survived by three children.
