To call Riff Raff a polarizing figure in Hip-Hop is an understatement. The Houston rapper, formerly known as Kokayne Dawkinz was first seen by many on the second season of reality TV show From G’s to Gents in 2009. Fast forward to 2012 and Riff Raff  is now signed to the Mad Decent record label and prepping to drop his official debut. But before then, the former Soulja Boy affiiliate drops this mixtape, Birth of an Icon.

Just about every Riff Raff verse, and look at his appearance, has people asking, “Is this guy serious?” So if you happen to be a fan of this cat (he even nabbed appearances from Chief Keef, Action Bronson and more), please explain why. Seriously, we’re curious.

Download Birth Of An Icon after the break.
