Air Jordans must be a form of drugs, because they’ve been known to make people lose all cognitive reasoning. Three teens in Houston are the latest people to make a terrible decision behind sneakers.

The youngsters are accused of cutting through the roof of a mall in Houston to steal the shoes.

John Grant, 19 and his two minor cohorts, cut a whole in the roof of Greensport Mall to break into a Foot Action USA store, nabbing 16 pairs of the $175 Jordans.

While Grant, and a 16-year-old were caught, the other teen got away. He has however been identified by police.

Grant was taken to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, and has been slapped with a felony burglary of a building charge. He is expected to appear in court on Aug. 29.

Meanwhile, the 16-year-old faces the same charge plus evading police on foot.

Of course there are many theories behind why people would be so foolish to steal shoes, but the high price points aren’t helping the situation. Last week Nike unleashed it’s Lebron X sneakers which retails for a whopping $315.
