Frank Ocean stays winning. The Odd Future crooner will be the musical guest on the season opener of Saturday Night Live on September 15th. Ocean, whose debut, channel Orange, was released in July to critical praise and commercial success, will be joined by Seth McFarlane, who will serve as the guest host of SNL’s 38th season opener.

Catching the “Novacane” singer on television is rare, with his most notable appearance to date being a performance of “Bad Religion” on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon. However, little over a week before his SNL performance in New York City, Ocean will be performing on stage at the MTV Video Music Awards in Los Angeles. Born Christopher Breaux, the 24 year-old made headlines when he informally announced, via a letter posted on Tumblr, that his first love was a man. The revelation doesn’t seem to have hurt his sales, with channel Orange hitting #2 on the Billboard album charts and moving over 100,000 copies its first week, which was initially only available digitally.

Catch Frank Ocean on Saturday Night Live at 11:30PM on NBC.
