At first, the 2012 Video Music Awards were looking pretty slim on the rap side of things. That’s changed pretty fast. MTV just announced that Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj, A$AP Rocky and 2 Chainz are all set to hit the stage at the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards. Lil Wayne, who just dropped his new mixtape, Dedication 4, will perform the new single off of it called “No Worries,” featuring Detail. This song will more than likely fall on Wayne’s new album, I Am Not A Human Being 2.

Reports are also coming out of MTV that Nicki Minaj will also grace the stage with special guest, 2 Chainz, who will be making his VMA debut. Another rapper making his VMA debut will be A$AP Rocky, who will be performing his remix of “Cockiness” with Rihanna. You can listen to that remix right here. To check out a video of 2 Chainz talking backstage with Sway about his performance, hit the jump.
