Pusha T is no stranger to rap beef, and is definitely not one to hold his tongue when asked for his opinion.  A couple hours before their appearance at a New York Best Buy in-store to commemorate the release of their, Cruel Summer compilation, Pusha and fellow G.O.O.D Music family member Big Sean, stopped by Cipha Sounds & Peter Rosenberg’s radio show on Hot 97 to promote the album’s release.

In the past Pusha T has been very vocal about his distaste for YMCMB, and Drake specifically. Today he set his sights on the big fish, Lil’ Wayne.  When asked about Wayne’s recent release, Dedication 4, Pusha stated that the mixtape “Wasn’t that good.”

However, he did show his appreciation for YMCMB’s Nicki Minaj’s verse on Mercy, one of the tracks to appear on Cruel Summer saying, “She got busy” on the record.  As you may remember, this is the verse where Minaj states that she is “A Republican, voting for Mitt Romney,”a line that garnered the rapper a slight backlash from the public and a humorous response from President Obama.

Pusha T further reveals that he does not have ill will towards YMCMB, but that he is a writer, and therefore sometimes has to be scathing and harsh.

Big Sean also takes Peter Rosenberg to task over the use of his ad-libs.
