Don't expect prison to bring Young Buck down. In early August, the G-Unit rapper began his 18-month prison sentence for weapons possession, and wants to prove to the Hip-Hop world that he's still got it.
In an interview from the Yazoo City Medium Security Federal Prison, Buck opened about his time in custody, and it sounds as though he's keeping his head up. "I'm good, I'm 100," he said over the phone. "I'm well taken care of. Being up under the circumstances that it is, this prison, so at the end of the day, I'm making the best out of prison."
Part of "making the best" out of his situation includes changing the name of his whereabouts. "I don't even like calling it prison, I call this sh-t chain gang college now," he continued. "I'm in chain gang college you know? I'm handling it, I'm handling like a real man gotta handle it, it really ain't no other way once you back here. You can either do the time, or let the time do you."
Buck also spit a freestyle chronicling his struggle, which turned into a futuristic tale about signing autographs to get on the good side of corrections officers, as he attempts to sneak drugs to his friends still in custody.
