Allen Iverson Reminisces About “The Question” Signature Shoe With Reebok [VIDEO]

Before he was partying it up and aspiring other NBA players to rap, Allen Iverson was an elite college basketball superstar on the verge of entering the coveted club only few have entered and flourished getting his own signature shoe.  With his first sneaker, “The Question” by Reebok, getting a retro release on October 5th, A.I. decided to sit down with Todd Krinsky, Head of Reebok Classics, for a one-on-one interview to discuss his iconic shoe and how it felt to see them for the first time.

“I remember you showing me the shoe, and it didn’t really matter what it looked like, you know what I mean?  Just the fact of it being my shoe was enough for me…. it could have been anything, but then seeing the shoe made it that much better.”  Combined with a stellar rookie season and clean innovative design, “The Question” saw early success as it broke sales numbers for Reebok, garnering A.I. a lifetime contract with the brand.

Iverson not only joined the signature shoe club with “The Question”, but also followed in the footsteps of some of Reeboks most iconic basketball shoes such as Shawn Kemp’s Hexalite, Shaq’s Shaqnosis, and the Pump Omni made famous by Dee Brown and Dominique Wilkins in the late 80’s. “The Question” is also one of the few Basketball shoes to see success after the player’s retirement, a la Jordan Brand.
