Until recently, Mac Miller kept a tight lid on any info regarding his Blue Slide Park follow up. Luckily for fans, the Pittsburgh MC used Twitter as the forum to announce the title of his highly anticipated second project, tweeting "My Sophomore Album Title Is: Watching Movies With the Sound Off." From there Mac Miller dropped not-so-subtle clues about what to expect from the project that drops next year.
"i'm doing a lot of production on Watching Movies," revealed Miller, who also gave credit to his frequent collaborator Big Jerm from ID Labs. "i want to show love to @bigjerm412 it is because of the music we made together that i thought of Watching Movies With The Sound Off." A recent Mac Miller performance in Los Angeles also confirmed that a track titled "Goosebumps" by Grammy nominated producer Diplo will likely appear on Watching Movies.
Prior to the release of Watching Movies, fans can expect Mac's full collaborative project with Neptune Pharrell Williams, titled Pink Slime, before year's end. "We have like 10 or 11 records done, but I can't finish it yet, I can't say it's finished," Mac told MTV News back in August. "Schedules are so crazy."
Mac doesn't plan on duplicating BSP's success with Watching Movies. "Making history was awesome; I don't care about that with this album. I don't care if we go #1, I don't care about selling records," he said. "That sh-- is awesome, but this album, I just need to do something different."
