Azealia Banks was out in Brazil performing and during an interview with a local media outlet confirmed that she indeed has music in the works with both Kanye West and Lady Gaga. The Harlem rapper/vocalist was forthcoming with details about her collaborations with the Pop and Hip-Hop music superstars.
According to Banks, she was in Hawaii on vacation and Yeezy invited her out to the studio to work. However, after not appearing on Cruel Summer, some wondered if they did collaborate, but she assures that it went down. "I went to the studio and yeah, just worked it out," she told Mix TV.
The "212" rapper had more details to share when it came to her upcoming music with Gaga. "Yes, I worked with Lady Gaga, but I worked with Lady Gaga from afar," she said. "We worked via email and via Internet. We have a song called 'Red Flame' and we also have a song called 'Ratchet.' [But] I don't know what she's doing with it. She's going to release it when she wants to release it. And yeah, I'm really excited about it."
Azealia Banks' proper debut, Broke With Expensive Taste, is due out in early 2013. Check out the rest of the interview with Banks, including her thoughts on working Adele producer Paul Epworth and making NME's cool list, below.
