Ballplayers want to be rappers, and rappers want to be ballplayer, this is universally understood. So it should comes as no surprise that NBA Champion Stephen Jackson of the Spurs and the reigning NBA scoring champion, Kevin Durant, got together to create a song called “Lonely At The Top.”

Kevin Durant is a well noted Hip-Hop head (and fan of Hip-Hop Wired, might we add), so this isn’t the first time we’ve heard him behind the mic. Stak5 Jackson has also always been about that life, whether on the court or in the studio. “Keep your game face on, poker,” raps Jackson.

Interestingly, Jackson’s Spurs and Durant’s Thunder are meeting on the hardwood tonight. No word on whether or not they’ll be performing this song at halftime.

“Lonely At The Top” will appear on Stak5’s forthcoming Jack Of All Trades mixtape. Listen to and download “Lonely At The Top” below.
