Stacey Dash through many for a loop when she came out in support of presidential candidate Mitt Romney. Now that it's obvious that she got down with the losing team, the Clueless actress sent TMZ a long winded letter that, once again, explains her decision.
In the rambling letter, which begins with musings about looking at her sleeping daughter, Dash reveals her rationale for rolling with Romney even though she voted for Obama back in 2008. "People get it wrong," she wrote. "My vote for Romney isn't a vote against Obama. That's not how full participants in the democratic process operate. We vote for candidates and we vote for issues."
[Cue the violins.]
The three page letter pretty much says that she felt Romney was a better candidate to fix the economy, and included suggestions for each candidate in the event that either of them won. However, she added an addendum since we got the results last night; four more years of Obama. She wrote, "President Obama has been re -elected. I congratulate him. No he was not my choice, but he was the choice of the majority of our country. I do respect and appreciate that the country came together to make a choice. So for that I applaud Americans."
She added, "Although I am disappointed that Governor Romney and Congressman Ryan did not win. I am hopeful that President Obama will lead us to becoming the great UNITED STATES OF AMERICA that thrives."
Before you slander her, read the entire letter here. Okay, proceed with the slander.
