If Sigman Freud were still alive he’d be all over this.

Lamar Odom accidentally said that he was on the Lakers, even though he now plays for the Los Angeles Clippers.

Odom played the brunt of his career in purple and gold, and was understandably emotional after learning of his trade. Drafted to the league in 1999, the Queens, .N.Y. native first played four seasons on the Clippers, a season with the Miami Heat, followed by seven career-shaping seasons with the Lakers.

He spent a dismal season with the Dallas Mavericks before heading back to La La Land and suiting up with the Clippers, but it appears that old habits die young.

During a newly released interview conducted during last month’s team media day, the 33-year-old had a Freudian slip—while wearing his Clippers jersey (so honestly, there’s no real excuse for that kind of mistake.). With all of the confidence that he could muster, and a huge cheese on his face the 6-foot-3 player said “Hi, I’m Lamar Odom of the Los Angeles Lakers.”

Damn, b.

In related news, since he’s just recently been let go from the Lakers, what are the chances of Mike Brown making that same mistake?
