A$AP Rocky Covers Complex Magazine; Says He Knows He Influences Kanye West [PHOTOS]

That Pretty Motherf**ker, A$AP Rocky grabs up the year-end issue of Complex Magazine. Real name, Rahim Meyers, A$AP hit the road with Complex’s Joe La Puma for this cover story.

Always an interesting read for his candor, the rapper and fashionista spoke to the publication about his style influencing people in Hip-Hop including Kanye West. When asked if he feels he inspired him, the rapper answered frankly.

“Of course. That’s obvious. [Laughs.] We’re all in the same circle. He’s way richer than me, but of course he’s influenced by me. C’mon, bro,” says Rocky. “I made waxed denim cool in hip-hop. F**king waxed denim and rips in jeans. Nobody else did that. I don’t give a f**k. I didn’t know what I was doing. These jeans are Balmain, and I wear them with a Supreme jacket. Of course I’m influencing.”

A$AP also spoke on the changing of Hip-Hop culture, including Wayne’s foray into serious skateboarding. “I put Wayne in Jay-Z and Kanye’s bracket, in terms of success. Wayne is still fun. Are we forgetting that Wayne made everybody switch their flow up and start using the E’s and R’s, and “I’m ir-regul-ar, seg-ular”?” he asks.

“Like, c’mon, are we forgetting that Wayne changed hip-hop, too? Are we forgetting that he made all these motherf**kers want to have tattoos? Are we forgetting that? It wasn’t Wiz, it was Wayne. Wiz did it, too, but I’m just stating facts. This is a guy who f**king went from being the youngest underdog in his crew to saving his company, and saving his “Daddy.” I’m not a f**king Lil Wayne d**krider—I’m just speaking facts.”

Rappers are such ignorant hypocritical jackazzes. SO we give lil wayne props for influencing skateboarding and tattoos as if that’s good. funny how these same guys don’t want to take responsibility for the far more negative things lil wayne influences. Like taking drugs, sipping lean, living fast dying young, light skin dark skin divide, and gang violence. THese clowns want you to praise selective trends that wayne started and ignore other trends. HOpe you’re not that naive.

Please these are things that aren’t worth bragging about, what? Are we seriously going to brag about a passing fad that Wayne is just getting hip too? Please white boys don’t skate board anymore, any black dude that’s trying to come into the skate game is lame and out of touch, its the typical syndrome of someone trying to be something they aren’t and doing it all wrong by coming into something that is all old and late to begin with. Besides Lupe was the first guy in the rap game to flaunt skateboard and that was back in the 00s—Wayne’s a decade late, please Wayne is a joke. Funny how black guys always want to be down with the hood but then try to capitalize on what’s accepted in White society but then they cannot even do that right. The only way to be accepted by White society is to carry yourself with some class, respect, and some ounce of intellect–and that’s not even in just white society, that’s every people group–no one wants a buffoon.
