Rihanna Says 777 Tour Is “The Coolest Thing” She's Ever Done
Rihanna has done a lot in her short career, but taking a troth of fans, and journalists on a seven-day, seven-date 777 tour trek tops the list of big moves. The Bajan beauty is set to hit the friendly skies with 150 journalists from 82 countries, alongside her team and fans, on a Boeing 777 twinjet, and she's giddy with excitement. “I'm so excited about the 777 tour,” she said in a statement to Hip-Hop Wired.
“We are turning this jumbo jet into our tour bus. We're practically living on this thing for a week: sleeping, partying, all together. Me, my fans, the press…it's going to be a wild ride. I wanted it to be a rock n' roll adventure, and I think when it's over it will be the coolest thing I've ever done. I'm that excited about it.”
Sponsored by HTC, and co-sponsored by River Island in the UK, and Microsoft in Paris, the tour is in promotion of her Unapologetic album due out next Tuesday (Nov. 19).
In addition to the regular copy, Rihanna is offering a $250 collector's edition of the release.
