Rick Ross stays adding talent to his Maybach Music Group. The latest artists to enter the fold is popular Louisiana radio host and A&R man DJ Hollywood Bay Bay.
While performing in New Orleans, Rozay stopped the show to bring Bay Bay onstage and announce that he officially was a member of the MMG fold. "So we want to make another power move tonight," said Ross. "My ni--a been repping motherf-cking Louisiana for the last 20 plus years. He been showing MMG nothing but love, let's welcome to MMG my ni--a DJ Hollywood Bay Bay."
Bay Bay was handed a MMG leather jacket to seal the deal before Ross shared some more words, also bigging up the late Soulja Slim. Needless to say, Bay is excited about formally linking with the Miami rapper. "Ross saw things in me that he sees in himself; hard work, style and substance," said Bay Bay in a press statement. "When you think about the quality of music and artists on the MMG roster, combined with Ross' marketing and business moves, we are what the slogan says: The Untouchable Maybach Empire. We don't talk it, we live it."
If you're memory is sharp, you'll remember Bay Bay as the inspiration for the hook on Hurricane Chris' hit "Ay Bay Bay" back in 2007. Bay Bay will maintain his own AnWhat Entertainment company and is working on a solo album due out in the summer of 2013.
