Applaud west coast MCs for somehow retaining their ability to embody California culture on tracks, while other areas lost sight of what gained them their initial appeal.

Underrated trio Pac Div does just that on their latest groove “The Return.” The stellar track is reminiscent to early Pac Div song. Don’t be surprised if you find yourself reciting Ty$’s [pronounced Ty Dolla $ign] memorable chorus some time during your day.

If you’ve never had the pleasure of visiting Los Angeles, close your eyes and visualize gold daytons, palm trees, beautiful women and beaches to this. Credit the track’s soundscape to producer Mars 1500.

“The Return” is the follow-up single to the Blu and Kendrick Lamar-assisted track “Cross Trainers.” Both joints will appear on Pac Div’s forthcoming project GMB, set to hit shelves and the Internets November 27.

Groove to “The Return” below.
