A lot of interesting tunes have been coming out of the Alicia Keys camp as of late. From the Swizz Beatz-produced “New Day,” to her women power single “Girl on Fire,” the New York native plans to cover all bases with her forthcoming album.

The latest song reinforcing Keys’ attraction to flames is “Fire We Make,” a duet with Maxwell.

The sultry Pop & Oak-produced track is a good musical marriage between the duo as they descend into the joys of love making (just for the song of course, Keys is married). In matching with Maxwell’s sensual delivery, Keys brings her raspy vocals down to a whisper. “Hey baby how you doin’ tonight?/ I wanna let you know, I wanna tell you just how I feel,” she sings. “I wanna love you baby, and its going so right, I wanna burn a candle, turn the darkness to light.”

Since “Fire We Make,” is his area of expertise Maxwell shifts the spotlight onto himself , once he’s up to bat, but the whispy vocals, omnipresent clap beat, and horns help push the track into the coveted baby-making-music territory.

Girl on Fire doesn’t drop until November 27, but in the meantime, take a listen to “Fire We Make” below.
