It’s been documented that 2 Chainz was a pretty good basketball player, starring at North Clayton High School in College Park, GA before earning a scholarship to Alabama State. Now a legit rap star, the Hair Weave Killer has teamed with Champs Sports and adidas Originals as a spokesman for the Fall/Winter 2012 adicolor collection.

The spot features 2 Chainz (who is also in a new Beats By Dre ad) reminiscing about putting on a show when he was on the basketball court, before doing the same on stage while the Def Jam rapper’s latest single, “I’m Different” from Based On A T.R.U. Story, plays in the background. As part of the campaign, the Champs Sports Facebook page will be releasing a digital game tomorrow that features an 8-bit 2 Chainz character that players will control through the court, mall and street in order to save the world of its color.

You can cop the adicolor gear featured in the ad at Champs Sports. Watch the :30 second version of the Champs Sports x adidas Originals commercial below.
