A few weeks ago, a snippet of this verse leaked from Pusha T that seemed to be taking some real shots at the YMCMB camp. Now there is no denying it.
After speaking to VIBE about the record, Pusha confirmed that this verse was directly aimed at Lil Wayne and Birdman. Add this record to “New God Flow,” “Exodus,” “Your Favorite Rapper,” and more as songs all aimed directly at the camp and specifically Lil Wayne.
“It’s new and was for Luda’s album. You got to blame Swizz. See, when Wayne got a Swizz beat with the ‘Ghoulish’ track; he got busy, well, he tried to,” says Push. “I don’t like to refer to my records as diss records. At the end of the day, I make great records even in regards to whether they were aimed at somebody or not my records are great records … Don’t cheapen my music by calling them [diss records].”
This record is originally for Ludacris’ next album, Ludaversal. Check out the lyrics for the verse down below and listen to “What They Mad For” after the jump.
“If you sellin’ all the records and you f**kin’ all the bi**hes
And you sit a top of the charts and you livin’ out your wishes
With your chains all smothered and your watches all glittered
And your ghost and your phantoms all comin’ home to visit
Or maybe cause your bi**hes was never really your bitches
With your baby mama f**king every rapper in the business
Ni**as saying you was better when the drugs was in your system
Now your crack swag gone ever since you came from prison
Got you tweeting all stupid, is you skatin’, is you dissin’
Found out your Ghost leased and your Phantom just rented
Won’t need it in your name like Pac when he went missing
Makaveli lives on so I’m riding on you b**ches
Hail Mary be the witness, Lord Willin’ I was dealing
Stupid motherf**king five star, tatted on his ceiling
Bullseye, be the motherf**king target for this killing
Ain’t y’all the motherf**kers with the millions?
