2012 is the year Hip-Hop witnessed a changing of the guard in regards to producers. Fans saw up and coming artists opt for a fresh sound, rather than the old faithfuls. With that decision came the rise of beatsmiths like Hit-Boy, Young Chop, and Mike WiLL Made-It, to name a few. Top singles of the year like 2 Chainz’s “No Lie,” “Bandz A Make Her Dance,” and Future’s “Turn On the Lights” have cemented the aforementioned Mike WiLL as a frontrunner of this young generation of producers.

Today, the Atlanta-based producer released Est. In 1989 (Part 2.5), the third installment of his compilation mixtape series. Mike WiLL stuck to the formula of scattering a few of his chart topping jams throughout a tracklist filled with unreleased tracks featuring a range of Hip-Hop’s notable figures and bubbling artists. Lil Wayne, Big Sean, T.I., Trinidad Jame$, Rick Ross, 2 Chainz, Future and more appear on the project’s star studded guest list.

Merry Christmas from the south, with love. Stream and download Est. In 1989 (Part 2.5) below.
