adidas x Mick Boogie ft. Donwill of Tanya Morgan – “Victory March,” Notre Dame Fight Song Remix [VIDEO]
To commemorate Notre Dame’s run to the BCS National Championship, adidas partnered with DJ Mick Boogie to recreate the infamous Fighting Irish anthem, “Victory March,” with a Hip-Hop spin. nVMe (pronounced “envy me”) Productions and Mick Boogie chopped up the fight song’s horn section, and layered it with hard hitting drums and hi-hats that give the historical song a refreshing feel. Donwill of Tanya Morgan rounds out the track with some bars that are sure to inspire Notre Dame’s Fighting Irish.
The song is powered by Complex magazine’s sports division, better known as Complex Sports. In DJ Mick Boogie’s case, the “Victory March” remix is just one of many quality collaborations and projects that might have went over your heads this year. That includes the recently released A Mick Boogie Christmas, the Brooklyn Nets inspired Brooklyn Originals, and this year’s edition of his annual collaboration with the legendary DJ Jazzy Jeff, Summertime Vol. 3.
If you’re a fan of this, we definitely encourage you to check out the aforementioned projects. Hear Mick Boogie and Donwill’s take o “Victory March” below.
