Cassidy defers from a brewing beef with fellow Philadelphian Meek Mill in favor of releasing a new, despondent track titled “All Alone.” Considering the MC’s career, Cass justifiably speaks on experiencing valleys and peaks in success that allowed him to realize that he can only depend on himself.

Lines like, “I bought a Bentley, cash, but had to trade it back/ Took the cash, flipped it and spent it soon as I made it back,” display a lamenting MC at his end. You can’t help but wonder if these bars are autobiographical?

“All Alone,” to some extent, sounds like a track that would feature Skylar Grey if it had major label backing. Not sure if that’s the lane for Cassidy, but we’ll slide him a pass since he’s still getting his footing right. On the other hand, “Condom Style” was impermissible and a horrible decision, bro.

New music is always appreciated, but fans near and far are awaiting Cassidy’s rebuttal to Meek Mill’s “Repo.” Historically, Cass has been more Malcolm than Martin. Therefore we can’t imagine the Philly MC taking the high road after receiving that much slander.

In the mean time, hear “All Alone” below.
