Late last night, rumors swirled that a new Justin Timberlake record produced by Timbaland and featuring Jay-Z was slated to drop today.

Rumors no more, sources have confirmed that not only is that song going to drop, but an entire new album from Timberlake will be dropping this year. According to Billboard, the album will be produced entirely by longtime collaborator, Timbaland.

Timberlake’s last album,  FutureS-x/LoveSounds came out in 2006 and is certified four-times platinum, marking domestic sales of over four million units. According to reports, Timberlake has been very quietly and meticulously creating a new album without warning anyone. The project is said to have 20 songs on it.

He’s been rumored to be working with artists such as Beyoncé, Jay-Z, Drake and more in the past, but it now looks like that effort should come to fruition before the year is up. The artist had focused a lot of his energy on acting as a frequent guest on Saturday Night Live as well as movies like The Social Network and the upcoming Inside Llewyn Davis. He has also had an integral part in the resurrection of the MySpace platform.

The new single featuring Hova is rumored to hit the nets today at noon.
