There is no doubt that at the end of the day, Jordan Brand is a business. Those cheering the return of “Nike Air” branding to a forthcoming Air Jordan III retro have to save a bit more coin. The Air Jordan ’88 Retro will run you back $200 at retail.

Yep, a switch from the “Jumpman” logo found on the heel of the 2011 retro will cost you an additional 40 bucks.

Will this be enough to stop a significant amount of sneaker fiends and hypebeast from going through rain, sleet, snow, or a desert, to get their hands on a pair? Hell no.

To keep it in perspective, Foamposites cost $220 and the ever popular Air Jordan XI in any variety is now $185. The demand is there, so the price reflects the thirst.

The Air Jordan III ’88 Retro had sneaker aficionados going nuts from the moment word of its existence hit the Internets. Details are still fairly scare but the shoe will be arriving at retailers sometime around NBA All-Star weekend in February.

Check out more photos of the Air Jordan III ’88 Retro, and that $200 sticker price, in the gallery. Get a job, don’t eat lunch or beg your parent for a loan, but don’t hurt anybody to get a pair. That just makes you a savage.
