Rappers often bear pipe dreams in form of a promise to create visuals for each track from their album. And at this point, if your name isn’t Rick Ross you’ll be hard pressed for anyone to take your claims seriously.

It would be ignorant to say that a short list of artists haven’t made an equally earnest effort to visually capture their projects as well. One being Stones Throw MC Homeboy Sandman, who unveils the fifth set of visuals from First of a Living Breed with “Couple Bars.”

Here, the Queens-bred wordsmith floats through New York City attempting to swoon a pretty young lady he fancies. But as the title insinuates, he maintains his lyrical integrity, rapping witty bars like, “I’m your prince, princess/ You ain’t gotta kiss a lot of toads.” Homeboy Sandman kicks his illest game before leaving her alone with her thoughts. That’s a true OG move, player ish.

Like what you hear? If so, that and more can be found on the Boy Sand’s latest Stones Throw release First Of A Living Breed, available now on iTunes. See the visuals for “Couple Bars” below.
