Frank Ocean isn't wasting any time folks. His Channel Orange debut earned him a couple of Grammy Awards last week, and the singer is already on to the next.
Ocean spoke with BBC Radio 1′s Zane Lowe, giving an update on the second effort, of which he's already pretty deep involved.
On his first release, his collaborations were pretty much non existent, but these days he's gotten in the studio with the likes of Pharrell Williams, and has plans to work with Danger Mouse. "I'm like 10, 11 songs into this next thing," he said, before being pressed for more details. "I don't know what to tell you, other than that it's another cohesive thing, bordering on a concept record again. At the end of channel, ORANGE there's 'Golden Girl,' and it's this beach scene. And I kind of want it to extend that feel into the next record all together, kind of make it that theme.”
During the nearly 30-minute exchange, Ocean details not meeting Prince at the Grammy's, what he'd be if music wasn't his thing, and an interesting story about someone interrupting his recording session (not Chris Brown).
