After months of silence, Mitt Romney will give his first television interview since losing the presidential election, last November. Romney chose to speak with Fox News Sunday about his failed campaign, and will give a critique on President Obama’s second term.

The 65-year-old’s wife, Ann Romney, will also appear.

From Media Bistro:

On ‘Fox News Sunday,’ moderator Chris Wallace announced that he will interview former Republican Presidential nominee Mitt Romney and his wife Ann Romney next weekend. It will be Romney’s first one-on-one interview since the lost the election to President Obama. The interview will air on “Fox News Sunday” next week, with additional excerpts airing on other Fox News programs on Monday.

This is likely the cause of the weird rumor that Romney would be joining Fox News as a contributor. No, he won’t.

Romney has remained mostly out of the spotlight since his defeat. In December, the former Republican candidate’s son, Tagg Romney, revealed that his father never wanted to run for the nation’s top office. “He wanted to be president less than anyone I’ve met in my life,” Tagg said.
