Over the years, GZA has displayed a thought process that’s on an upper echelon in his music and in interviews, so it’s no surprise that a thinking man’s game like chess would appeal to him. The FADER caught up with the Wu-Tang Clan lyricist at the Chess Forum in New York City to discuss how he first became acquainted with the game and more.
