As everyone gears up for SXSW we’re all wondering whose show will stand out the most. Doritos might be giving everybody a run for their money. If you remember, last year they held their SXSW concert on a stage that was more so a giant vending machine, all 62 feet of it. How can they possibly out do that? Well, this year they really want to put their audience in control.

The Doritos #BoldStage will be dependent on social media activity, and the more activity there is, the doper the show. They have three up-and-coming artists, Devin Miles, Seth Sentry, and Snow Tha Product, who will be competing for a spot to open for the headliners: LL Cool J, Public Enemy, Ice Cube, and Doug E. Fresh.

Fan engagement on Twitter will determine the winner. Fans will also be able to control special effects like smoke and lasers, and even help select LL’s encore song. The entire experience will be streamed live on Doritos’ Facebook page.

Fans will also be able to share photos of their bold moments for the chance to see those images projected onto the huge screen between musical sets, throughout the weekend. The Doritos brand will also reveal other bold fan challenges through the weekend, via its social media platforms.
