Kanye West is a known connoisseur of all things creative, and has always been one to tip his hat to art he admires. It looks like Tyler, The Creator's visual for "IFHY" most recently caught the Chicago native's eye, as West decided to strip his website (kanyewest.com), leaving only the Odd Future frontman's video as its homepage.
Tyler was more than appreciative for the nod from G.O.O.D. Music's general, tweeting "damn, thanks ye. you werent kidding. f**k that is sooo sick got damn." The "Domo 23" then went on a short rant as per usual, during which he revealed "i showed him yesterday but i thought his head nod to it was just cause i was there. he really likes it thats sick."
The video for "IFHY," which stands for "I F***ing Hate You," is a stunning display that features Tyler as the lead character, who looks a lot a like a Black Ken doll. As the plot unfolds, it's revealed that he is in fact a toy living a life-sized doll house that's going through the motions with his live-in figurine spouse.
As far as kudos go, this isn't the first time West has co-signed one of Tyler's videos. You may recall that Yeezy's praises played a large part in the viral explosion of the Los Angeles rapper's captivating treatment for Goblin cut "Yonkers" in 2011.
In this case, "IFHY" was received well even before West's involvement, having garnered over a million views within 24 hours of its release. Fans can hear the aforementioned, as well as the entire Wolf album here. Hit the jump to see Tyler, The Creator's string of tweets.
