Michael Bay’s forthcoming Ninja Turtles film has found its Master Splinter. Danny Woodburn, known for his roles on Seinfeld, Employee of the Month, and Death of Smoochy has been cast in the role.

Since Woodburn is a human being– and not an aging overgrown Rat well versed in life lessons, and karate skills–the role will likely be motion caption-based.

The film itself will feature a mixture of CGI technology and live-action.

Other actors in the highly anticipated flick include Will ArnettMegan Fox, and Alan Ritchson, the latter of which will voice nunchuck aficionado, Raphael. Arnett’s role has not been revealed but Fox is said to be playing Ninja Turtle confidant, April O’Neal. It’s not clear if O’Neal’s character will be a computer programmer like she was in the comic books, or if Bay will follow the lead of the ’80s cartoon and make her a reporter.

Rather than helm the director’s chair Bay will produce, while Jonathan Liebesman will direct.

With all the secrecy surrounding  the project, Ritchson promised that it will satisfy fans. “People think they know what this movie is about,” he told MTV News. “But they have no idea. It’s going to blow people away, guaranteed.”

We’ll just have to see about that, but one thing is for sure: if Michael Bay doesn’t do justice to the “heroes in a half shell,” there will be hell to pay.
