On Monday, the teaser video dropped for “Get Lucky,” Daft Punk’s latest single featuring Pharrell Williams and Nile Rodgers. The clip showed a whole lot of shiny suits and swaying, but revealed a bit of the hot new tune. Well, the track has finally arrived in full and it’s fists full of Funk. No drugs are necessary to get high off this one.

The single, off Daft Punk’s upcoming album Random Access Memories, is a mix-up of genres with Skateboard P taking the lead as he, Daft Punk and Nile Rodgers deliver funkiness with a touch of disco. The song channels the ’70s/’80s a la Hall & Oates and the Bee Gees, as Nile Rodgers uses the vocoder to add just the right amount of robotics.

It’s not totally uncharted territory for Pharrell, though. He’s been inching away from straight Hip-Hop for a while now, and this cut is a smooth transition into the EDM world. Perhaps he’ll run and join the dance gods next. Who really knows? There’s bound to be a video for “Get Lucky” as well, possibly including parts of the previous teaser. Hopefully there’s more to the video than what we saw.

In the meantime, “get lucky” to this new one and pick up Daft Punk’s Random Access Memories arriving May 21st.
