To be clear, there’s absolutely nothing funny about the Boston Marathon bombings that killed three people and injured over 140, Monday (April 15). But somewhere in between the tragedy and finally the capture of 19-year-old bombing suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, the media has been unintentionally fumbling and bumbling.

Whenever a tragedy of this magnitude occurs, reporters rush to the scene to fight for 24-hour coverage. As a result information gets muddled, the press gets fatigued, and the viewing public gets to have a quick guilty laugh about the audacity of the faux pas.

Since Monday, we’ve witnessed a bunch of failures that were pretty damn funny. So, after thinking long and hard on the issue (because again, we’re not making light of the bombings), Hip-Hop Wired decided to point out the missteps that probably weren’t meant to be hella awkward, but they were.

Check them out below.
