We appreciate the grind of Harlem rapper Rugz D. Bewler around these parts. The underrated MC drops a new cut called “Bad Man’s World” worth adding to your rotation.

Don’t mistake the title for rampant misogyny. Instead, he keeps the topic focused on the duality of the streets, politicians and the world in general. “Real ni–gas stay down, tomorrow’s never promised/My ni–as pass chronic, pack pistols, flash dollars/Put molly in their system for their problems/Regardless, it’s  bad man’s world, but a real ni–a’s playground,” spits Bewler.

The uptempo groove flips some soulful vocals and swift drums, and is courtesy of producer Sal Dali.

Listen to “Bad Man’s World” world. If you likes, get familiar with more of Rugz work like “Woosah” and “Real Nin[G]a Sh-t,” from last year’s #BAMN (By Any Means Necessary) project. The Ski Beatz produced “Thank God” is also worth a revisit.
