Just a day after dropping his Showtime mixtape, Mac Miller returns with the first official single from his highly anticipated LP Watching Movies With The Sound Off. The track is titled “S.D.S.,” and stands for “Somebody Do Something.”

If there’s any truth to the Pittsburgh MC’s “We here to reinvent music, it’s time for the revolution” line, this is the battle cry. Flying Lotus deserves a round of applause for that, having crafted a beat that channels some of J. Dilla’s greatest work. So much so that listeners could find themselves in a trance due to the song’s waving synth chords and knocking drums.

“Somebody do something. Somebody move something,” chants the chorus, which sets the tone for Miller‘s mellow flow and introspective lyrics.

All facts considered, we’d say that the young rhymer came out of the gate proper for Watching Movies With The Sound Off. Click play below to see why.
