Spike Lee’s affiliation with the Jordan Brand is indelible; from Mars Blackmon, to Do The Right Thing‘s Buggin’ Out to the director himself rocking exclusives courtside at NBA games. The Air Jordan Spizike only cemented that relationship, which continued with the Son Of Mars model and now it’s low top version.

Don’t sleep on the Son of Mars low. In essence, it’s an Air Jordan III with flourishes of the V and VI in the upper. Also, while the AJ3 will cost you $160 at retail, the Son of Mars low clocks in at a lower $140. With the right colorway, these are a nice come up.

So far there have have been a few colorways of the hybrid shoe, the first was “Tour Yellow,” followed by “Grape Ice” and now the “Do The Right Thing,” who hues are a homage to Lee’s classic film. The “Grape Ice” hits stores this past Saturday (April 27), the “DTRT” version are due out June 29.

Check out images of the Air Jordan Son of Mars Low (designed by Spike’s son, Jackson Lee) below. Let us know if you will cop or pass in the comments.
