A touchy fan got a little too close for comfort during Rihanna’s Diamonds World Tour performance in England. Unfortunately, the audience member got a surprise meet-and-greet with the singer’s microphone, and it was all caught on video.
The Roc Nation princess has been touring the UK and on her stop in Birmingham Tuesday (June 18), things got physical. After belting out a slew of hits, the singer left the stage to walk by the crowd of raging fans during a performance of “We Found Love.”
While hands were stretched in hopes to touch Rih Rih, one clingy fan held on to her jacket a little too long. She hit the woman over the top of the head with a mic, and never skipped a beat.
One person attending the concert tweeted: “[Rihanna] just hit someone with her mic on accident haha oops.” To which Rihanna replied, “Purpose! That b-tch wouldn’t let me go.”
It seems as though fans have been crossing the line when it comes to their celebrity obsessions. Last month, Beyoncé threatened to have a concert-goer escorted out after he slapped on her butt.
