Mum’s the word on Jay-Z’s forthcoming album Magna Carta Holy Grail. With a week until it releases, Swizz Beatz sat with VIBE Magazine to discuss his partnership with Monster before sprinkling in a bit of info about Hov’s project.

“This album represents Jay,” Swizz said. “How do you give somebody something authentic that they can go back pull from and give them something that’s ahead of its time?”

According to the Ruff Ryder producer, “For the first time in a long time I think someone solved that problem and I think he did that with this album.”

Swizz was among a power circle that included Pharrell Williams, Rick Rubin, and Timbaland. With all assumedly involved with the LP, fans are very interested in knowing who contributed most.

“I didn’t do as much as I could if done but sometimes less is more,” admits Swizz. “I was excited with what he did with Open Letter. The White House was speaking about it the next day.”

So far, we know that The-Dream, Justin Timberlake, and Frank Ocean also contributed to Magna Carta Holy Grail, due out July 4 via Jay-Z’s “Magna Carta” app on Google Play exclusively to Samsung users.
