Over a year ago, adidas revealed the Crazy Light 2, touted as lightest basketball shoe ever.  Today (July 2), we get the re-up as adidas unveils the adizero Crazy Light 3, which at 9.4 oz is still the lightest basketball shoe out there.

The new version features enhanced comfort and performance compared to its predecessor yet manages to improve its cushioning, too.

The new aerodynamic 4-layer SPRINTWEB  was engineered with added foam in key areas to improve comfort and support while the ankle collar is sixteen percent thicker and a 3D molded tongue enhances comfort for the foot. The enlarges asymmetrical SPRINTFRAME allows for maximum motion control and the radial wave bone traction system features a new and improved multi-level surface for maximum grip and flexibility.

The initial Crazy Light 3 colorway features a “pride blue” SPRINTWEB up and contrasting “electricity” (yellow) SPRINTFRAME midsole as well as reflective 3-stripes accents. NBA point guards Ricky Rubio, Mike Conley Jr. and Jrue Holiday are set to rock the kicks during the adidas Quick vs. Fast tour in China.

The Crazy Light 3 is out August 1 in 10 colorways and will run you back $140 at adidas.comFoot Locker or Eastbay.
